Small Craft Bass Series: Ticket To The USA 

Having returned from the US a month ago we never would have thought the size of the the Small Craft market that is growing EXPONENTIALLY in the USA. Then it made perfect sense, we will use the South Africa context here:

What is the biggest barrier to entry into South African Tournaments? MONEY.

The expenses of the boats, it is exorbitant, the cost of motors is sometimes more than the boat and of course you need all the paraphernalia that goes with the boats which means that very quickly people are staring, conservatively, at R500,000 for an entry level boat when compared to some that are seen in the tournament at Albert Falls a few weeks ago. 

So we have been on the emails, on calls, and we decided that we are going to appoint a team purely dedicated to bringing down those barriers to entry. The first is that we going to spend more time creating opportunities for the Small Craft market and that starts RIGHT NOW! 

We have signed up with Bass Bonus, a new company launching in 2025 in the USA and we have seen their plan:

• More rewards, more opportunities and more exposure to brands for anglers. 
• They have chosen some of the best US and European brands and who are looking for innovative ways to get their products more exposure. 
• It is a loyalty promotion company focused on the angler and on Bass Fishing and getting the independent brands exposure to existing but more importantly aspiring professional anglers. 

In other words, Bass Bonus is for the anglers! EVERY one of our partner brands is exactly the same.

Bass Bonus have put up the prize: Ticket To The USA: Win the Small Craft Bass Series and you heading to the USA as one of the first Team Members and Ambassadors of the Bass Bonus team. 

The Prize:

You will be entered into two tournaments, flights and accommodation, all the gear you will need will be provided, your only thoughts will be making sure you fly the South African flag high and taking the opportunity to bring a trophy home or make enough of a splash to get the tour invite.

CASHION RODS JOINS THE BIG BASS TOUR

This has been another incredible coup for our tour, Cashion rods are THE rod brand that has taken the USA by storm and once again Mad Rhino have secured the African distribution of the Cashion Fishing Rod brand, EXCLUSIVELY. 

You have not felt or tried a rod in South Africa that comes close. 

PROGRESS IN SOUTH AFRICA....NOT MUCH WE DOING IT OURSELVES

South African anglers through Mad Rhino are going to be exposed to the best brands that many do not know because the industry remains a closed conglomerate. Until now. 

The Big Bass Tour is shaking everything up,we have not found a boat sponsor or a motor sponsor, it seems the more doors there are the more they remained shut for new entrants but....they are not stopping us.

NOT ONE South African company or association contacted us back, so we went to iCast 2024 and found 18 of the best fishing brands in the USA and Europe. We doing the same for an electric motor brand, a small craft / kayak brand and a brand new sunglasses brand straight from Sweden. 

We currently negotiating with a boat sponsor, have tied up an electric motor sponsor and a sunglass brand, we have a new bait company launching which we will announce soon and we are also hoping to release another bait sponsor from a brand dedicated to innovation and who won awards at iCast 2024 this year. 

Mad Rhino has committed to 18 EXPOS next year, the products will soon be available online, some sites have already been launched with the next round of six brands launching this week. 

We do this to support anglers, to grow the sport, promote our sponsors and support our nominated charities. 

GET HOOKED MAGAZINE

We will be launching Get Hooked Magazine in November 2024. This is a free magazine, digital only, with content from around the world and of course our local circuits.
