WELCOME TO THE BIG BASS TOUR
We will have a weekly newsletter, please sign up to it on our home page
As we head into a little bit of calm after a hectic launch we would like to welcome everyone officially to the Big Bass Tour Africa. We are currently sitting on 8 confirmed events and will be announcing the final two events in the coming weeks as we launch our entire schedule well in advance.
As you may have noticed we are filled with brand new brands, innovation and loads of value as we bring brands many of you may only have seen but not tried or perhaps wished you had.
In another world this could have been the same stale launched of another tournament trail. However the dismissal by the local brands has been a blessing as it allowed us to open our own minds and take what many would feel is the harder route but in actual fact this was the easiest route to take because the brands we have on board are exceptional and more than willing to be part of the growth in Africa.
This is refreshing to say the least. South Africa could learn from the leaders of this industry. We are always slow to learn.
Now to the anglers, this tour is about shaking up the industry, if our tour forces others to change and make it better for the anglers then our job is already half done. We not going anywhere, our tour and the sponsor commitments are secured for years and it's now about what we can come up with that will make it special for the anglers.
We are open to any suggestions, feedback, criticism or if you have an idea that you want to put forward here is a number available for you on WhatsApp or to call: 0686373249.
Always remember, it is easy to throw out criticism but you have a direct chance right now to bring change in the sport we all love.
Pro bass fishing, amateur bass fishing and just the fishing industry as a whole can only change if we all willing to work hard and put forward ideas. We also encourage everyone, support the new brands, if not our sponsors then someone else, the local bait brands, the rod makers, those are people with as much passion as you that want to showcase their products and if they grow they become the next sponsor of you, an event, your kids, this is the cycle.
Big Bass Tour Africa is not for profit, we have teamed up with Adventure Ministry who are a registered NPC and will soon have their S18A certificate which means all sponsors will have the ability to write off the spend with us against their tax.
This is a huge step forward and the way it should be done. A tour is not a place for money making, the fee paid by anglers is actually crucial, in our opinion it forces anglers to bring their A Game.
When you have "skin in the game" you bring out your best.
Our Fee Breakdown Is Transparent
80% to prize pool
10% to Charity
10% to Tournament Staff, Venue
Any basic financial calculation can ensure we are always kept in check. Please remember our prize fund is quadrupled by the sponsored prizes. The above is just an exact account on where the entry fee will be broken down and distributed.
Lets head into good news...
Our focus on this tour was to try and break down barriers for entry and this is something we will try do. There is a grim reality that boats are not cheap and are prohibitively expensive and we simply cannot change that. What we can do though is encourage anglers to participate.
What we did is launch the Small Craft Bass Series to make sure we are going to cater for as many anglers as possible and we have put an exorbitant amount of effort in securing sponsorships.
Today we will be announcing that we have become the distributors for TBN in Africa and we will be bringing in their Lite Air Skiff and together with both Bixpy Motors, and our new sponsor about to be announced in Remigo Electric Outboards, we will have an exceptional product as a prize for the winners of the tournament series.
The USA sponsorship where we will be taking the series winner to compete in two events is a massive deal for the Small Craft anglers, this is an opportunity that will give you the opportunity to make your name.South Africans only need a chance and we just have the ornate ability to take off from there.
The fastest growing sector, almost 200% year on year, in the USA is the kayak and small craft series across all the major competitions and that is a sign that a surge is coming.

A platform that is going to reward the anglers, we are very excited about this launch.
Simply put, not giving everything it will be, it is bringing brands together, anglers get rewarded for using the brands and not just winning tournaments but competing and placing well.
In total, there are 127 independent brands already signed up from countries like the USA, Japan, Sweden, UK and France.
